Johnny Letron Brown, 20, of Tuskegee, was arrested by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency on Thursday. He is charged with four counts of reckless murder. The shooting at a 16th birthday party shocked Dadeville, a sleepy east Alabama town of 3,200 people, on Saturday. Besides the four people who were killed, 32 others were injured, four of whom were critically wounded, and four of them were injured. As gunshots broke, the party, which was held in a dance studio just off the town square, was in full swing. Wilson LaMar Hill Jr., 20, of Auburn, was charged with four counts of reckless murder the day before Brown's detention.

In a moving interview, Alexis Dowdell, the birthday girl, told the BBC that her brother saved her life only to be shot himself, resulting in death in her arms. Alexis 'I told him to be strong,' she added to the network. According to his grandmother Annette Allen, Philstavious 'Phil' Dowdell, a Dadeville High School senior who had committed to Jacksonville State University, was celebrating his sister Alexis' party before she was shot to death.
