Young driver crashed and killed her best friend, 18, when she was speeding and 'clowning' around just a month after passing her driving test

Tayla King, 18, lost control of her car in Swansea on a long stretch of road. Chantelle Thomas (pictured), a tourist, sustained serious injuries after falling down an embankment and into a tree. Miss Thomas was not saved and died at the scene despite the best efforts of passing motorists who stopped to assist, including a passing police officer who was driving home at the end of his shift, as well as firefighters and paramedics. A judge at Swansea Crown Court said a young life was a "incalculable blessing" to their parents, and that no judgement could be imposed on a life.
