Hugh Gray, a Scottish man, took a photograph (top left) that would spark a global obsession on a sunny day in November 1933. In Loch Ness, near Inverness, he later described it as a "object of significant size." In churning water, his picture appeared to be some sort of creature. A portrait (top center) taken by London physician Robert Kenneth Wilson captured the world's interest the following year. Later, it was discovered as a hoax. Another man took a photograph (top right) of three humps poking out of the loch's surface in 1951, fuelling the fascination. Hundreds of other sightings have been published, including those in 1997 and 1998. Chie Kelly of The Netherlands published what one Nessie expert called the'most convincing' photographs (bottom right) of the rumoured monster this week. In 2018, she took 71 photographs but did not post them out of fear of public ridicule. Last year, the first 15 images were announced, but now all the frames have been turned into a video.

Chie Kelly (pictured), 52, took the pictures of the frightful creature half a decade ago but did not publish them out of fear of public ridicule. Last year, the first 15 images were published, but T he Cryptid Factor podcast has been published and analysed all 71 images. It hoped that the photographs would spark discussion in investigators around the world. The photographs have been turned into a video and appear to depict something moving across the loch in the Scottish highlands.

CHRISTOPHER STEVENS: A bleak crime story with no ring of truth

www.dailymail.co.uk, January 5, 2023
CHRISTOPHER STEVENS: We now live in the golden age of True Crime. All the other genres are out-dated; no one wants Great Detectives or Police Procedurals. Any murder needs to be investigated by a young amateur who is secretly hoping that the format will be bought for millions by an online giant. Netflix has ordered hundreds of True Crime docu-series since its incredible success in 2015 with Making A Murderer, about a horrific murder at a U.S. scrap-yard. Crime Scene in the Texas Killing Fields; American Murder; The Family Next Door; A Murder In The Memories Of A Killer: A Descent Into Darkness; A Terrorist; Discussions With A Killer The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes and The Sons Of Sam: A Descent Into Darkness

Emmy Nominations From the 1920s Emmy Nominations

www.popsugar.co.uk, July 13, 2022
The 2022 Emmy nominations have arrived, and although many talented actors were recognized, we can't help but being a little bit angry over a handful of major snubs. Some of our favorite shows and actors were held out of the nominations for several of our favorite shows and actors. In some cases, the show received a handful of awards, but Emmys declined to mention some of the performances that made it so memorable. We're getting the best snubs from the 2022 Emmys, as we go. Issa Rae was nominated for outstanding actress in a comedy series for her role in "Insecure"'s last season, but the show was not voted for a best comedy series. That's a big snub for a show that had five seasons but was only officially nominated as a series in 2020. The Television Academy also treated Yvonne Orji and Natasha Rothwell.
