After test audiences booed the new superhero film and forced Warner Bros Discovery CEO David Zaslav to cancel it, the studio may either keep the film permanently or even destroy it to demonstrate to the IRS that they will not profit from it in the future, which would guarantee their tax write-down. Zaslav has resisted against offering HBO's subscription service for films like Batgirl and favoring films that will see the theaters.
