The 1-3 Denver Broncos aren't waiting for the offseason to start reworking their roster. Coach Sean Payton's struggling squad traded benched pass rusher Randy Gregory to the San Francisco 49ers in a contract that also included the swap of 2024 draft picks, with Denver losing a seventh-round pick for a sixth-round pick. Following Friday's session, Payton announced the swap. Earlier this week, he said that the team felt it was best to give younger players more playing time. The Broncos decided this week to move from Gregory 18 months after signing him to a five-year, $70 million deal. He appeared in ten of a possible 21 games for Denver, winning three sacks and undergoing two surgeries.
