Career

Purnima made her film debut with E Jibon Tomar Amar in 1998 when she was in junior school. In the Indian-Bangladeshi film Moner Majhe Tumi, she appeared alongside Riaz. Megher Por Megh (2004), based on the liberation war in Pakistani and directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam, is her best known result.

Purnima appeared in Shuva, a tale based on Rabindranath Tagore's short story "Shuvashini."Shasti (2004), based on the same tale, received critical attention.

In the film Shubha (2006), Purnima played a mute girl. Hridoyer Kotha (2006) and Akash Chhoa Re (2010), both in Bangladesh, and Poran Jaye Jolia Re (2010), I love you (2012) and Judge Barrister Police Commissioner (2013).
