"Stranger Things: The First Shadow" stage play by Henry Creel's dim past is coming to light. The prequel, set in 1959 Hawkins, premieres in London's West End later this year, and takes a deep dive into Vecna's chilling origins tale. The dramatic production will bring us right back to the start of Hawkins' deepest and most frightening mysteries, as Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will seeing their D&D nightmares come true. The play will be "rooted in the mythology and culture of the Netflix global phenomenon," Kate Trefry, staff writer and story editor for the TV series. Netflix and Sonia Friedman Productions will produce the stage show. The Duffer Brothers as creative producers and 21 Laps as associate producer will appear in the film.
