Instructions For A Teenage Armageddon This article by Veronica LEE is a fan of this tale of a snarky teen hiding a dark teen

VERONICA LEE: This one-woman performance by Rosie Day rather mislabels the content. Though it seems that it is a noble call to arms, it is not. It is, however, often amusing. And when we first met teenage Eileen (Charithra Chandran, who played Edwina Sharma in Bridgerton), she is full of peppy bravado and flippancy, even though discussing how her older sister, Olive, died a few years ago after suffering from anorexia. But then, Eileen's self-absorption is only enhanced by her lack of self-awareness, resulting in some snortingly, if inappropriately, amusing lines: At least the coffin will be light,' she says as the family makes her sister's funeral arrangements.

According to a recent study, John Simm, 53, and Philip Glenister, 61, will be teaming up again, but not for another instalment of the BBC sci-fi. The former co-stars will star of ITV1's DNA Journey as they search for their ancestors.

PETER HITCHENS: We can't defend people in their own homes, so why posture as a great power?

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 3, 2023
PT HITCHENS: These are all parts of the country where home-owners feel it is impossible to challenge these street gangs, unlike Angela Flynn's case, where a group of children was threatening a bicycle in a suburb of Gillingham, Kent, who was as young as ten years old, was threatening them. After posting an angry post on Facebook, it was surprising that the majority of the reports of this incident concerned her husband, Michael, who was suspended from his school work. Many people will find this unfair. But it's also bewildering to me that his suspected online misdeed was swiftly and harshly punished. On the other hand, we can be fairly certain that the miniature louts will have no long-term effects.

The 'annoying' yellow lighting on Steeltown Murders viewers slammed the program

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 23, 2023
Two detectives continued to try and locate their serial killer in Port Talbort's case, according to the Steeltown Murders case, one of four. However, several viewers complained that the lighting on the show's 1970s timeline was a distraction to the action. One individual wrote: "Whatever filter they are using on Steeltown Murders, it's really bothersome...smoky and yellow."

In this cold case drama, CHRISTOPHER STEVENS addresses last night's television: In this cold case drama, you can almost smell the 1970s

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 16, 2023
CHRISTOPHER STEVENS: Fire up the Quattro! Philip Glenister is back, this time as a time-travelling copper, this time with a moustache. He isn't playing DCI Gene Hunt, and Steeltown Murders (BBC1) is not the long-promised sequel to Life On Mars and Ashes To Ashes. Instead, this four-part drama recreates the cold case probe that brought a 1970s serial murderer and rapist to the forefront. That would equate to two time zones. Inspector Paul Bethell appears in the 2000s, sharing the role with Scott Arthur as the devoted young DC Bethell in 1973. The two actors are so similar that it's easy to imagine them as the same man in different eras, but the constant changing between decades slows the story down.

The serial killer nailed by his own son

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 12, 2023
Steeltown Murders, the UK's biggest steelworks, takes a forensic look at the murder of cousin Pauline Floyd, right, and Geraldine Hughes, centre, who were discovered in woodland in September 1973, and Sandra Newton, left, who had been discovered in prison two months before, in a disused colliery. According to DNA tests, the three girls were killed by the same individual. However, it was only when the internet was expanded to take in family members that the killer was identified by a partial match against his grown-up son. Inset: Gareth John Bale as DCI Paul Bethall and Steffan Rhodri as Phil Rees.

Prince Harry, in his book Spare, claims that after being married into the Royal Family in 2018, she wanted for Meghan to continue acting as an actress. After all, Suits' lucrative role in the hit US TV series Suits brought her fame and fortune. It appears that another actress in the company is profiting from the royal loophole.
