One of the country's most prominent stately homes is embroiled in a bitter debate over the ownership of a portion of the country's vast 25,000 acres. Holkham Hall, which is listed at more than £200 million, is located on the north Norfolk coast and owned by the Earl of Leicester (top right), and Jake Fiennes runs the massive farming estate (bottom right). However, the picturesque marshes of Burnham Overy Staithe, near Brancaster, are now at the forefront of an incredibly fierce protest in which villagers are fighting the integrity and authority of the local 'Lord of the Manor's chief. According to locals, more than 3,000 acres of land is legally common property. According to them, the Earl of Leicester, who lives near Holkham Hall, has 'unfairly' claimed the area as his own and that the property is being treated incorrectly as private property.

Terry Czernowski, 44, of Lachlan, was shot and killed by the pair in Moylan Grain Silos, 200 kilometers east of Perth, at 8.40 a.m. on Thursday. Bowles, a former volunteer ambulance officer, evaded police for more than eight hours before crashing into a standoff in a grain field. Bowles was well-known in the community as a volunteer paramedic, and he had been praised by the Shire of Kellerberrin for his community service in 2020.
