An Antiques Roadshow was applauded when he learnt the whopping value of buttons he picked up for just £2.26 two days before show. Series 39, Hanbury Hall 2, aired again on Wednesday, and in it, a guest presented jewellery expert John Benjamin with four buttons. Filming in Worcestershire, the BBC saw a pensioner produce four silver buttons bought by his wife. Benjamin asked: 'Let me ask you, sir: where did they come from?' The guest replied: 'My wife found them in some buttons in a box of things she picked up at an auction.'
