Amber Gibson, 16, (right) was sexually assaulted and murdered by her brother Connor Gibson (inset) in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, on November 26, 2021. Connor shaved her clothing and inflicted blunt force trauma to Amber's head and body. He compressed her neck with his hands and strangled her with the intention to rape her, eventually killing her. Stephen Corrigan, 45, (left) discovered her remains in Cadzow Glen park at some point in the following two days. But rather than calling ambulance services, he intimately touched and concealed Amber's body. Corrigan told investigators that he was in a'complete loss' to explain why his DNA was discovered on 39 different parts of Amber's body, including breasts, buttocks, and thighs. He was found guilty of both attempting to defye justice and breach of the peace.
