During the 2017 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs traded up to the tenth pick in a trade with Buffalo -- one spot ahead of Payton and New Orleans. Marshawn Lattimore, the Saints' 2017 defensive rookie of the year, was picked in 11th over the Saints' 11th pick.
