Wolves have agreed the £8.5 million signing of right back Pedro Lima from Brazilian side Sport Recife ahead of interest from Chelsea. The 17-year old has a five-year contract in place which he will sign, pending a medical, when he turns 18 on July 1. Chelsea wanted Lima for sister club Strasbourg, who became part of Todd Boehly's BlueCo family last year. But the teenager - who represented Brazil at the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup - has opted to move to Molineux instead.

The 17-year-old star currently plays for Brazilian second tier club, Sport Recife, and there is now an expectation that they will get a deal over the line. The West London club remain confident in holding off renewed interest in the player from Real Madrid, but they are keen to get the deal wrapped-up for the young star.
