Patrick Long Career

Racing career

Long, a young career in karts and the open wheel ladder system, caught Red Bull's attention and was included in the inaugural Red Bull Formula 1 Driver Search. He drew his curiosity during the test, first as a Junior driver and then as a Factory pilot since 2003. Patrick has had a string of success racing for Porsche, with class victories at all four sportscar "classics" including the Rolex 24 Hours of Le Mans (2005, 2006, 2007), and the Mobil One 12 Hours of Sebring (2005). Patrick is a three-time American Le Mans Series champion, winning the GT2/GT class in 2005, 2009, and 2010, as well as the Pirelli World Challenge Driver's Championship in 2011 and 2017. In addition, he was a member of the driving trio that won the first international competition victory for the groundbreaking Porsche 911 R Hybrid in the 2010 1000 km of Zhuhai, China. Patrick rode for the Penske Racing team in a Porsche RS Spyder from 2006 to 2008, winning an LMP2 class victory and second place overall at the 2008 Petit Le Mans. Patrick led the Dempsey-Proton team to victory in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2015, co-driving with Marco Seefried and Patrick Dempsey, notably winning second place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and assisting in Dempsey's first professional racing victory in the GTE-AM class in Japan.

Khaled Al-Qubaisi and David Heinemeier Hansson competed in the FIA WEC in #88 Abu Dhabi-Projector Porsche 911 RSR, as well as a full season with Wright Motorsports.

He has made two starts in the Australian V8 Supercar Series, placing fourth and 11th in the dual races at the Gold Coast in 2010 and 2011 for Walkinshaw Bundaberg Racing, where he finished 5th and 17th in dual events.

Patrick has been involved in numerous NASCAR series, including one in the Sprint Cup (Watkins Glen, 2012), where he finished 42nd due to brake problems, and another in the Nationwide Series (2010, Road America), where he finished 14th after starting 6th leading two laps in a D'Hondt Humphrey Motorsports Toyota. Long also competed in 5 races in K&N Pro Series East between 2009 and 2010, four races in ovals, where his highest finish was 5th at Tri-County Motor Speedway, but his best start came on pavement on June 6, 2009. Long was in second place on the last lap of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race at Infineon Raceway when he caught contact with the race leader (Joey Logano) who had spun out just two weeks later. Despite Long's first flag, NASCAR had disqualified him and placed him at the tail end of the lead lap. Long finished 23rd after starting on the pole after the questionable penalty. He won by a narrow margin at Utah Motorsports Campus in Salt Lake City later this year. Long captured the NASCAR West event in Portland, 2010, winning the event for the first time. He was also leading at Utah when a flat tire ended his day with three laps remaining. Long participated in ovals, including Irwindale Speedway, Iowa Speedway, and Phoenix, in the West Series from 2009 to 2010, but he came in 4th, 15th, and 18th respectively. Long also participated in the 2012 K&N Pro Series West at Utah Motorsports Campus, but he was forced to cancel due to engine failures. Long's first ARCA Racing Series appearance and win after being led 46 of 67 laps at NJMP after a long struggle with Parker Kligerman.

Here, the would-be thief can be seen clearly being tracked by the new car as he attempts to mask himself and crack the hi-tech vehicle's identical hi-tech composite glass. Furious Tennessee residents slam Jack Daniels for out-of-control black 'whiskey fungus'

www.dailymail.co.uk, February 28, 2023
A persistent black mold has plagued Lincoln County residents ever since Jack Daniels' expanded its barrel house operation, with the fungus fueled by ethanol vapors. Locals believe the black mold covers their houses, porches, and automobiles, smothering the animals and even obscured street signs on the road. Many are now questioning whether the fungus is impacting their health and destroying the surrounding air quality, prompting one defiant local to wage a legal battle on the giant mold titan to bring the growing mold to a halt.
