www.dailymail.co.uk, April 18, 2024
Pablo Escobar's brother will not be allowed to trademark the infamous cocaine baron's name for his 'flamethrowers and smartphones' business as it would go against 'accepted principles of morality', an EU court has ruled. Roberto Escobar filed an application to the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in 2021 to register 'Pablo Escobar' as a trademark for his company but was denied, prompting a lengthy appeal process in 2022. His firm, Escobar Inc, currently only lists 'Escobar Cash' cryptocurrency online, but has dabbled in selling gold-plated smartphones and 'tactical toy' flamethrowers in the past.

New York's 'undocumented immigrant' lawmaker slammed for REWRITING 9/11 history: bill would focus K-12 lessons on 'xenophobia' and anti-Muslim bullying, not the terror attacks that killed 3,000

Catalina Cruz, an assemblywoman who immigrated to the United States illegally as a child, has sponsored a bill to refocus K-12 classes away from the Al-Qaeda militants who murdered thousands of people in September 2001. Schools must inform students more about the 'aftermath' of the attacks, a rise in 'Islamophobia, xenophobia,' and "hate crimes and discrimination against Muslims and other minorities related to the attackers, according to her bill. The step,' Michele Exner, an advisor with Parents Defending Education, a conservative campaign group, called the action 'idiotic.'

The hippos in Pablo Escobar have engulfed Colombian people: The drug kingpin's four children have increased to a 200-strong herd that controls the country's largest river

www.dailymail.co.uk, February 4, 2024
The hippos, which spread from the kingpin's private zoo to nearby rivers, where they flourished, have no native predators in the region and have been designated as an invasive species that threatens the ecosystem. Since his inception in 1993, Hacienda Nápoles has been a tourist attraction. The majority of the animals live in rivers and reproduce naturally, without fear, prompting Colombia's Ministry of Environment to begin sterilizing them in November.

The Curtiss C-46 Commando (left and right) - the world's biggest twin-engine aircraft capable of transporting large amounts of commodities - overshot the runway on Norman's Cay before settling on the seabed. The Bahamas island (bottom-right) is now a popular holiday destination, but drug lords have used it for years as an excellent hiding place and stopover for cocaine shipments to the United States. It served as Carlos Lehder's headquarters from 1978 to 1982, one of Escobar's top operatives. Cay of Norman was then chosen by fraudster Billy McFarland as the site for his now famous Fyre Festival.

Vanilla Ice reveals he hung out with 'Drug Lord' Pablo Escobar 'many many times' as they bonded over love of boats and cars but had no idea he was the ruthless Cartel leader because he 'didn't have Google'

www.dailymail.co.uk, December 19, 2023
In an animated interview, the Texas-born nineties rapper, who now works as a profitable real estate investor and developer, revealed that they had an unexpected friendship. Ice, real name Robert Van Winkle, revealed that the Colombian drug lord and the 'Cocaine Cowboys' used to drive over to his house on Star Island off the coast of Miami Beach, presumably during the height of his hip hop fame. They'd land helicopters on the island, where he kept food in the refrigerators especially for them and made his maids clean up after them. Ice, 56, said he once bragged that his fortified Porsche was faster than Escobar's highly coveted Ferrari Testarossa, so they lined the cars up next to each other to settle it.

Pablo Escobar's 'cocaine hippos' sterilization begins as the population of animals drug kingpins once owned plummets as pet populations spiral out of control

www.dailymail.co.uk, November 17, 2023
This week, Colombia began a $3,000-a-pop sterilization of the country's surprisingly large population of hippopotamuses, descendants of animals illegally imported to the country by drug kingpin Pablo Escobar in the 1980s. Environmentalists said two male hippos and one female underwent surgical sterilization. It's part of a larger government initiative to limit the population of 169 of the mammals that roam freely in certain rivers unsupervised. 40 hippos will be sterilized for a year, transfer some of them to other countries, and possibly euthanasia are all part of the scheme.

Pablo Escobar's 'cocaine hippos' this year, and the Colombian government may even consider EUTHANASIA, despite fears that the 69 population will increase to one million people by 2035

www.dailymail.co.uk, November 3, 2023
The Colombian government is going forward with a scheme to limit the number of hippopotamuses imported illegally into the country by the infamous drug lord Pablo Escobar in the 1980s. Authorities have become more worried about the increasing presence of the hippos, which have spread from the late Medellner's 7,400 acres estate in Hacienda Napoles to nearby rivers. In the South American country, the animals have no natural predators and have been classified as an invasive species that poses a threat to the ecosystem. Around 169 hippos are now roaming the region, the bulk of which is found in the Magdalena River basin, which is extremely rich in fish. If no action is taken, the population could rise to 1,000 by 2,035 if no intervention is taken.

Colombian authorities confiscate Pablo Escobar's $2.5 million home after it was turned into a tourist attraction by his brother

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 23, 2023
The Colombian government confiscated a home that was once owned by Pablo Escobar and later turned by his sibling into a money-making tourist attraction. On Thursday, authorities searched the $2.5 million house in El Poblado's Medelln neighborhood as part of the long-running attempts to ban the 'narcotourism' industry that Escobar's brother, Roberto Escobar, had long profited from. The property was bought by the Attorney General's Office through the knowledge that the Medelln Cartel chief profited from the drug trade in the 1980s and 1990s, according to the Attorney General's Office.

At Le Populo, a restaurant in Marseilles, the artwork in question depicts the smiling founder of the defunct Medelln Cartel giving a hand salute on a wall. On a recent visit to the restaurant, Andrea Petro, Colombian President Gustavo Petro's daughter, slammed the mural's existence.

TOM LEONARD: She murdered her three husbands, eight strippers who dared to look at one of them, and the first killed at the age of 11. As Sophia Vegara plays bloody sex-crazed billionaire cocaine queen Griselda, marvel at the true story you really couldn't make up

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 2, 2023
A matronly mother of four, the "baddest b**ch to ever take a breath of life," was fully depraved, as she compelled husband and women to have sex at gunpoint and threw cocaine-fueled, anything-goes orgies in a mirrored room at her Miami mansion, where her formidable German Shepherd, named 'Hitler,' was largely ignored. It's no surprise that the war zone she created in the Florida city provided much of the inspiration for the Miami Vice's brisk 1980s crime drama. The blood-drenched reign of this sociopathic monster is returning to our screens, this time with the Godmother in the central role. In a forthcoming Netflix series titled Griselda, Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara plays Blanco. Blanco, who was barely five foot tall, had a large oval face and cleft chin, so casting Vergara in the role is undoubtedly flattering to her.) The series, according to Netflix, is "inspired" by Blanco and "tells the tale of a loving mother who created one of the most profitable cartels in history." It will display 'how her innate combination of unsuspect savagery and charm aided her in navigating between work and family'.

A year ago, Europe stole America's crown as the world's cocaine superpower: Map shows how ruthless cartels stopped at nothing to smuggle £50 billion in 'white gold.'

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 1, 2023
Seizures of cocaine in Europe surpassed those in North America for the first time in 2019 and have only increased since, with a record 303 tonnes confiscated in 2021, worth at least $30 billion, although some believe the true value of the market is north of $30 billion. Unlike previous South American cartels, today's bosses are just as likely to hail from Italy, such as the 'Ndrangheta and Camorra Mafia families; the Balkans, including Grupa Amerika and Dino Cartel; and Ireland, as in the case with the Kinahan and Hutch Clans. This brave new world was on full throttle this week as a'mothership' carrying £136 million of cocaine (with a street value of £430 million) was raided by Army rangers off the coast of Ireland in what is the country's biggest bust of its kind.
