The Americans, who are off to Australia and New Zealand in the hopes of clinching a historic three-peat, met the Welsh side in San Jose in their first friendly match before the tournament is decided. But the reigning champions also proved that they didn't need much more warm-up before their Group Stage opener against Vietnam on July 21, when Trinity Rodman led them to a victory.
