Four men are seen squatting by the side of the road in a village in India's Jalna district. On first glance, it appears they are attempting to fold a grey rug of some sort, but the camera pans out to show that the villagers are actually tugging on what was supposed to be a newly laid tarmac leading out of the village (right). The camera zooms in to see the pitiful layers of stuff resembling bitumen that seemed to have been slapped down over the old dirt road like a plaster over a wound. The villagers continued to slam the contractors for what they described as 'bogus' work, according to Indian newspapers Times Now and the Pune Mirror. A 3km bridge in Bihar state collapsed into the river below (left) in the district of Bhagalpur.
