Car cannibals' in Birmingham are ripping parked vehicles to pieces

A crime wave has wreaked havoc on Birmingham's city centre, with a 'professional' crew of criminals ripping cars to pieces in Digbeth. Nine separate cars were targeted in the city center district in January alone, with the BBC revealing that three more had occurred last year. Among the victims were a nurse on a nightshift and a music lover whose car was ripped apart while attending a concert. After ripping it apart and leaving it as a useless carcass, Greedy thugs even managed to write off a £16,500 Mercedes. Now motorists have been arriving in their droves, with some requesting that the clampdown be tightened on a spate of vehicle crime blighting Birmingham.

Since the 'car cannibals' stripped her Citroen C1 in just two hours, the woman is left 'devastated.'

Rebecca Scotland said her vehicle had been left undriveable after parts were professionally removed as she left it in a Birmingham parking garage. When the vandals struck, the 27-year-old had been waiting to see Nina Nesbitt at the O2 Academy with partner Tony Lincoln, smashing the passenger window to open the bonnet and leaving her number plate behind. After being exposed to similar incidents in the city, she is now warning others to be cautious.

ADRIAN THRILLS: No wonder he's so Keane on middle age

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 2, 2022
ADRIAN THRILLS: Keane's debut album, Hopes And Fears, in 2004, was one of the few bands to sing of youth as well as Keane. The Sussex company framed their salad days on a track like Somewhere We Know and Everybody's Changing, launching a career that saw their first five LPs top the UK charts. Capturing the mood swings of a swollen yet unbowed forty-something is less glamorous, but it's what Tom Chaplin is trying to do on his new solo album, Midpoint. The singer, 43, came to a close when Keane's Cause And Effect tour was cancelled due to the pandemic, and he began writing songs summing up his middle-age thoughts.
