OJ Simpson's chilling 'hypothetical' confession to murder: This 'fictional' description of how he killed Nicole Brown Simpson after being enraged by 'kinky' rumours caused outrage. So did he do it? Read it and decide for yourself

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 19, 2024
In what many considered a miscarriage of justice, O J Simpson - who died last week - was acquitted of the exceptionally brutal murder in 1994 of his ex-wife, Nicole, and a man he came across at her house. He never gave evidence in court, except to insist he was 'Absolutely 100 per cent not guilty'. But in a ghost-written book with the odd title of 'If I Did It', published under his name in 2007 in the strangest circumstances (see panel below), he told in detail his hypothetical version of what might have happened. Was it a confession? He insisted it wasn't. Read this edited extract and decide for yourself, bearing in mind this caveat - that the accomplice he calls Charlie has never been identified or traced and almost certainly did not exist.

OJ Simpson's final days were spent drinking beer on his couch in his gated Las Vegas community before he took a sudden turn for the worst after Easter, leaving him only able to ask for water and watch his beloved golf on TV. Simpson died last Thursday at the age of 76 following a battle with prostate cancer. His remains were cremated Tuesday in a private ceremony. It was earlier reported that the prime suspect in the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman made friends and family sign non-disclosure agreements before visiting him at home over the past few weeks.

Read OJ Simpson's last will and testament: Star put all his money in a trust to be distributed by long-time attorney - but he says he 'doesn't know' how much is in it or how much he owed when he died aged 76

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 15, 2024
The man who has been named as the executor says he is unsure what or how much is in the estate and to which creditors money will go to settle Simpson's significant debts. The seven page document places the entirety of Simpson's estate in a trust created in late January of this year, which is now under the control of Simpson's long-time attorney Malcom LaVergne, who was named as the executor of the Will. LaVergne, who represented Simpson in a number of legal proceedings following his conviction on charges related to a violet Vegas robbery in 2007, has spoken publicly about the estate.

Ruby Wax recalls moment OJ Simpson called her up and said 'It's OJ, I did it' shortly after the pair had finished filming documentary where he pretended to stab her with a banana

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 15, 2024
Ruby Wax has recalled the moment OJ Simpson (pictured together on left in 1998) 'more or less' confessed to killing his former wife in what he claimed was an April Fool's joke. Wax met with Simpson after he was famously acquitted in 1994 of the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson (pictured inset with Simpson in 1993) and her friend Ron Goldman. The TV personality alleges that after the pair had finished filming a documentary in 1998 that Simpson phoned her up on April 1st and said: 'It's OJ, I did it. April Fools!' She claims he immediately hung up after the declaration, adding that the ex NFL star was 'more of less telling me what he had done'. Her recollection of the call comes as a morbid video of Simpson pretending to stab Wax (right) during the 1998 BBC interview has resurfaced in the wake of his death.

MAUREEN CALLAHAN: OJ Simpson beat Nicole for years... then slit her throat so deep he almost decapitated her. So how utterly vile of the New York Times and its fellow race-baiting rags to memorialize HIM as the victim

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 12, 2024
If there's one thing you'd think Americans could agree upon 30 years later, it's that OJ Simpson was a wife-beating double-murderer who got away with it. But the usual mainstream media outlets - the New York Times, NBC, ABC, the L.A. Times, New York magazine and NPR, just to name a few - are eulogizing him as a football legend who suffered greatly in a racist America that nonetheless made him rich, famous, and handed him a not guilty verdict despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Here was the New York Times, in a subhead that ran moments after his death on Thursday: 'He ran to football fame… But his world was ruined after he was charged with killing his former wife and her friend'.

'OJ was framed!': 'Dream Team' lawyer ALAN DERSHOWITZ's shocking rebuke to those who say Simpson's acquittal was a miscarriage of justice - and why he still believes the jury made the RIGHT decision

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 12, 2024
To the 'armchair lawyers' who say the verdict in the so-called 'Trial of the Century' was a miscarriage of justice, I simply say: you don't understand the law. In the American justice system, guilt is not determined by the subjective morality of the public, but by the objective presentation of evidence and the establishment of proof beyond a reasonable doubt. As a member of OJ's defense team, I was able to persausively make the case that some of the evidence against him had been fabricated by Los Angeles Police Department officers. Now, that doesn't prove that OJ was innocent. But it does illuminate the reasoning behind the jury's legitimate decision.

OJ Simpson's alma mater, USC, stays conspicuously silent on his death despite honoring the ex-Trojans star's memory by continuing to display his retired No. 32 at home games following his 1994 double murder trial

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 12, 2024
Not only is the NFL conspicuously silent about OJ Simpson's passing, but his alma mater has similarly resisted calls to address the scandalized running back's death this week. Southern California has a copy of Simpson's Heisman Trophy at the campus' Heritage Hall, and his jersey remains retired by the Trojans in recognition of his two remarkable seasons in the USC backfield. What's more, his No. 32 is prominently displayed at every home football game on the banners that drape the peristyle steps of the venerable Coliseum. But when Simpson's death from prostate cancer at 76 in Las Vegas was announced Thursday, his school made no public acknowledgement of it.
