On Wednesday morning, Gwyneth Paltrow appeared as a featured guest at the Visionary Women's International Women's Day Summit, which was held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. As they stood on the main stage of the annual festival, the 51-year-old actress appeared first to Nicole Avant. Lili Bosse, Angella Nazarian, and Sara Foster, who recently spoke about the start of her wellness journey, were later joined by the performer, who then brought a sizable cake out for the summit's guests.

Was Meghan's SECOND trip to Beyoncé concert more business than pleasure? Just over a week after Prince Harry's Invictus Games documentary 'flops' in streaming charts, the Duchess discovered mingling with Netflix boss Ted Sarandos and his wife

At Beyonce's 42nd birthday concert, Meghan partied with Katy Perry, the Kardashians, Lizzo, Chris Rock, Adele, the Biebers, and a number of other famous performers. However, business may have been on the agenda, as she was seen sat next to Mr Sarandos and his wife Nicole Avant at the SoFi stadium on Monday. In either Britain or the United States, one area of discussion may have been husband Prince Harry's Invictus Games documentary, which was branded a flop after struggling to make Netflix's top ten in either Britain or the United States. Meghan herself, on the other hand, seems to have had more success on the platform, following the legal drama that launched her to fame in the summer. Suits set a new record for a viewing time of over seven days between June and July after clocking 3.14 billion minutes in a matter of seven days.

Karen Bass vows to deal with rising crime and 'chaos on the streets'

www.dailymail.co.uk, November 17, 2022
On Wednesday, US Rep. Karen Bass beat developer Rick Caruso to become Los Angeles' next mayor, and she has reaffirmed her pledge to end homelessness in the city. Bass wrote in a tweet, 'We're going to solve homelessness,' she wrote, adding that she'll crack down on crime and work to make the city affordable for working families. Bass's proposal includes the construction of 3,000 new homes, leasing motel rooms, and apartments as well as offering tax payer-funded housing vouchers to those in need, including veterans. Although Caruso's emphasis was more on creating small homes and rooms for those in need, there was also a section that could be deconstructed in a way similar to IKEA furniture. Nicole Avant, wife of Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos, was one of Caruso's top supporters, describing the city of Angels' growing chaos: "It's the drug addicts in front of people's houses, it's people naked in the street; it's people naked," she said, "people have so much chaos, and Rick is the opposite of that." Jaqueline Avant, her mother, was killed in December 2021 by repeat offender Arariel Maynor in a home invasion. Maynor was sentenced to 150 years in jail for the offence. Bass, a Democrat on President-elect Joe Biden's short list of vice presidents, defended more than $100 million in spending by the billionaire Caruso's campaign by pledging that she would be a coalition builder who could help a struggling city of nearly four million residents.
