The incident occurred in the first period, with the first-place Rangers leading by 2-0 en route to a 5-1 win. The Devils fan wearing a Jack Hughes' No. 10 has died. In one of Prudential Center's lower sections, an 86 jersey man is seen arguing with another man wearing a winter jacket along a stairway. With the game raging, two more fans join the fray in an attempt to maintain the peace. Then, as someone off screen yells 'beat his a**,' the Devils fan launched a headbutt over the stairway railing; and although the connection is unclear, the Rangers fan did eventually fall backwards under a flurry of punches.
