Monique now lives in Greenville, South Carolina. She is a Christian. Johnny Stewart, a judge and contest prep coach, is her trainer. As an infant, she was homeschooled. She has a daughter. Species Nutrition is her sponsor company.

Monique Jones Career

Figure career

Monique has been active in a fitness program since she purchased her first gym card at the age of 16. A trainer approached her one day to see the potential in her engaging in a competitive level sport. She then set out to prepare for her first figure appearance. In 2001, she entered SNBF Spartanburg, South Carolina, where she came in 1st in the overall class. The judges told her she should switch to bodybuilding during her 2007 visit to nationals in Charleston, South Carolina, which she accepted.

Bodybuilding career

Jones won the overall in women's bodybuilding in 2008 in her first bodybuilding competition at the South Carolina State show in Columbia, South Carolina. She came in second or third place for her first three national shows. She received her IFBB Pro card after finishing first in the 2010 IFBB North American Championships.

Since 2011, she has qualified for every Ms. Olympia run that year.
