Milo Ventimiglia Career

Career

Ventimiglia, an eighteen, pursued acting, first appearing as a gay teenager in Must Be the Music, a short film released as part of Strand Releasing's Boys Life 2. He studied at UCLA before landing a role on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, a guest on television programs including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and Boston Public. In the short-lived Fox TV series Opposite Sex, which premiered in 2000, he played Jed Perry.

Ventimiglia starred Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls from 2001 to 2006; he appeared in the second season as a leading cast member. He pretended to be in a spin-off of Gilmore Girls called Windward Circle, but it never made it to television. In season four and two episodes in season six, he went back to a guest star/repeating cast member, and he came back for four episodes. Ventimiglia played Chris Pierce, Meg Pryor's rebellious boyfriend (Brittany Snow); Pierce and his single mother, Shelly (Daphne Zuniga), a Playboy bunny, move into the house next to the Pryors in the third and final season of American Dreams. He appeared in The Bedford Diaries, a mid-season replacement series. The show had only Ventimiglia in mind, but it was one of several shows not picked up by the newly formed network The CW.

Ventimiglia played supporting roles in the horror films Cursed (2005), directed by Wes Craven, and Stay Alive (2006), as well as starring roles in the short film Intelligence and the full-length film Dirty Deeds (2005). In the sixth Rocky Balboa film, which was released in December 2006, he was cast as Robert "Rocky Jr." Balboa, the son of Rocky Balboa.

Peter Petrelli appeared in the NBC series Heroes, a show about "ordinary" people discovering their superpowers, and portrayed the character until the show's end in 2010. Ventimiglia also produced and developed It's a Mall World, a mini-series that debuted as part of a publicity campaign for American Eagle Outfitters in 2007. In the music video for "Big Girls Don't Cry" in mid-2007, he appeared as the love interest of pop/R&B singer Fergie's love interest. In 2008, he appeared as a medical student in the horror film Pathology. Alyssa Milano, a British actress, was co-starred by Charmed actress Alyssa Milano and MGM's Marc Schölermann directed it.

Divide Pictures, LLC, a multimedia website for like-minded people co-founded by Ventimiglia and his best friends Russ Cundiff and Dino DeMilio, a radio producer for The Tom Leykis Show, created the DSC, or Divide Social Club, in 2005. Ventimiglia, Cundiff, and Divide Pictures collaborated with Top Cow to produce REST, a monthly limited series. Rick Loverd's Berserker comic book also has a Berserker comic book published in Divide.

Wolverine did not return to voice Wolverine in Marvel Anime: X-Men because the film portraying an older Wolverine, rather than a younger one, but instead Wolverine was voiced by Steven Blum. In Frank Darabont's short-lived neo-noir crime drama Mob City for TNT, Ned Stax, a former marine, appeared. In November 2016, he reprised his role as Jess Mariano in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. After this, he reportedly told USA Today that he's heard rumors that they're taking back everything that I've ever been a part of... It's exciting, I think. However, I do agree that it's too much at times. A number of these characters have stories to tell, but there are others that have been more than a decade in the past. For the four Netflix films, it was thrilling going back to Gilmore Girls, but I'm happy with it. The stories were told, according to me. I think it was awesome for the viewers and supporters to get just one small glimpse of the future once more. However, I believe people should not be so cynical.

Ventimiglia appeared opposite Mandy Moore in the critically acclaimed NBC period drama series This Is Us, playing Jack Pearson, the patriarch of a middle-class family in late 1980s/early 1990s America. Ventimiglia appears in the forthcoming suspense thriller Devil's Gate alongside Amanda Schull.
