"I've Been Fired Too Many Times to be Cocky" The first time I saw Tyrus on television, I stopped and listened to what he had to say. Full disclosure, I did so because of the way he looked. But I wouldn't have kept listening, had he not been making some trenchant point in some unique and salient way, to a panel of contributors who did not look at all like him, not even a little. Couple years later, we met in the hallways of Fox News, shook hands, (I think that was a hand), and exchanged pleasantries. I invited him onto my podcast, and he said he'd be honored. I may have blushed. His journey, his accomplishments, and his world view are as unique as they are refreshing, as is his sense of humor and unwavering commitment to authenticity. We talk a lot about wisdom and humility, and why both are in such short supply these days. We also talk about the entertainment business, his life as a bodyguard, a wrestler, a father, a husband, and now, a very popular pundit. I couldn’t tell you precisely how my mom wound up starring in a primetime special called America’s Grandmother, or exactly where that nickname originated, or specifically who gave it to her, or just what percentage of people actually think of Peggy Rowe in those terms. I can only tell you that a lot of people do. America’s Grandmother premieres tonight at 10pm Eastern on foxnews and again at 11pm on foxbusiness. . . . #America #mom #Grandmother Posted by @mikerowe on Aug 21, 2022 11:37PM

"Does Your Mother Really Vacuum in the Nude?" That's the question I've been asked all week, while shamelessly promoting her new book "Vacuuming in the Nude, and Other Ways to Get Attention." Thankfully, I'm not in a position to know. But Mom was happy to answer that very question this week on my podcast. , Enjoy my mother, unfiltered, yet fully clothed.... . . . #TheWayIHeardIt #podcast #mom #VacuumingInTheNude #book Posted by @mikerowe on Aug 18, 2022 10:44PM

Two weeks ago on Real Time, Bill made the case for allowing the world’s population to collapse. He argued that our planet’s resources are finite, and that we are already incapable of supporting the current number of humans coming into the world. He is also concerned—very concerned—that our reliance on fossil fuels is destroying the planet, and that adding more and more people to the mix is only making it worse. My guest this week is Alex Epstein, founder of the Center of Industrial Progress, and author Fossil Future: Why Global Human Flourishing Requires More Oil, Coal, and Natural Gas—Not Less. If you like books that live up to their titles, this is a book for you. Alex is an energy expert who disagrees with a lot of other energy experts. (Don’t you love it when experts disagree?) Alex believes that our planet has all the necessary resources to support all of the people on it, and then some. He also believes that the planet is warming, and that our reliance on fossil fuels is partly to blame. He is by no means a “climate change denier”, but he does NOT believe that fossil fuels should be limited or replaced by alternatives. Far from it. Alex believes that oil, coal, and natural gas are the best hope for human flourishing and that their actual impact on the climate can only be properly evaluated if we first understand their overall impact on humanity. Alex argues that context and perspective are critical and conspicuously absent from the current debate, and his book does a great job of providing both. I found our conversation fascinating.
