According to York Membery, Jay Aston, 62, came to fame as a member of Bucks Fizz, which won the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest. Making Your Mind Up, their album, went straight to No. 1 in the United Kingdom and eight other countries. The four-piece went on to have two more British chart toppers - The Land Of Make Believe and The Camera Never Lies - and also sold 50 million copies around the world. Jay left Bucks Fizz in 1985, but the Fizz was formed in 2009 by two ex-bandmates. Jay, a singer from Westerham, Kent, was diagnosed with mouth cancer in 2018, but she has since made a complete recovery.
