Michael Arthur LeDonne, born October 26, 1956, is a jazz pianist and organist known for post-bop and hard bop.

Early life
LeDonne was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on October 26, 1956. His parents owned a music store. LeDonne's father, a jazz guitarist, began playing locally around the age of ten. He also attended John Mehegan's lessons for four years. After graduating from the New England Conservatory of Music, where he worked with Jaki Byard in 1978, he moved to New York City and joined the Widespread Depression Jazz Orchestra.
Later life and career
LeDonne first performed with the Widespread Depression Jazz Orchestra in 1981 and later toured the United Kingdom with Panama Francis and the Savoy Sultans. Back in New York, LeDonne became the house pianist at Jimmy Ryan's, where he appeared with some of jazz's greatest names from 1981 to 1983. In 1982-83, he was also a member of Benny Goodman's Sextet.
LeDonne was a member of Milt Jackson's band from 1987; he also performed for and performed with the band, then became their musical director, and eventually became a musical director. He stayed with the Jackson family until his death in 1999. In 1988, he made his first appearance as a leader. Criss Cross issued it in the 1990s, and LeDonne went on to produce several more albums for the brand in the 1990s. "I was a sideman who competed in the Art Farmer-Clifford Quintet and toured Paris with Grady Tate (1992), James McPherson (1992), Sonny Rollins (1995), and Benny Golson (late 1990s to present) and served as an accompanist to Ernestine Anderson, Annie Ross, and Mary Stallings." LeDonne started recording for Double-Time Records in 1998. In 2000, LeDonne formed his "Groover Quartet" (organ with guitar, drums, and tenor sax) band as the result of a weekly Tuesday night show at the Smoke Jazz Club in New York. His organ came to fame, and the band went on to release many CD's for the Savant brand, as well as tour the world. He divide his time between the organ and piano, charting many top 'jazz chart' releases, as well as being named for Best Keyboards by the Jazz Journalist Association in 2012. He played organ with Lou Donaldson, George Coleman, and David "Fathead" Newman as a sideman. In 2014, LeDonne revived the annual disability pride parade in New York City.
