During the final building phase of an ancient temple in modern-day Lima, Peru, the three-millennia-old mummy was thought to have been left as a sacrifice inside the tomb. On Wednesday, the astonishing find was made in Lima's capital, the first find in the Andean nation dating back to pre-Hispanic times. Before the excavation of the remains could begin, eight tonnes of rubble had to be removed from the site.
