The French diver who was one of five people injured in the Titanic was a director of a turbulent company accused of 'pillaging' thousands of Titanic products. Paul-Henri Nargeolet, 77, who died in the Atlantic suicide on June 18, spent decades with RMS Titanic Inc, which owns sole salvage rights. Mr Nargeolet, also known as 'PH,' earned the nickname 'Mr Titanic' as an 1912 wreck expert and led several expeditions for the US corporation headquartered in Georgia. The explorer, who was in charge of underwater studies for RMS Titanic Inc, had two adult children and owned a $1.5 million (£1.2 million) home in New York state. He had previously explained how relatives of Titanic victims had told him they did not comply with his employment with RMS Titanic Inc, which filed for bankruptcy together with its parent company in 2016 and came close to auctioning off the relics in their possession. Titanic Inc owns 'Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition,' which has two locations in Las Vegas and Orlando and claims to have been visited by more than 35 million people. However, explorers have been urged by politicians and relatives of the Titanic's passengers and crews to leave the wreck alone and avoid finding artefacts.
