Michalis Rakintzis Life

Mihalis Rakintzis (born in Athens, 1957) studied Mechanical Engineering in Great Britain, graduating from the University of Athens.

He appeared in Scraptown, a rock group from 1982 to 1985.

Rakintzis began a solo career after three albums and a maxi-single Scraptown split up.

In 1991, readers of the music magazine Popcorn rated him "Best singer of the Year."

Mihalis Rakintzis worked with international stars, such as Ian Gillan of Deep Purple, rocksinger Bonnie Tyler, and Wee Papa Girl Rappers.

He has also written songs for other Greek musicians, including Paschalis, Eleni Dimou, Dimitris Kontolazos, Sophia Arvaniti, Stelios Dionisiou, and Vassilis Karras.

Mihalis performed in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn, with the track "S.A.G.P.O." That's why I Love You" earned the 17th position.

Since then, he has released several new albums.
