www.dailymail.co.uk, April 6, 2024
Michael Sheen has humourously related how the moment he broke his toe at a gym culminated in a surprise meeting with Tom Jones' sister. During his appearance on BBC One's show The Assembly, where he was interviewed by a group of 35 autistic, neurodivergent, and learning disabled people, the Welsh actor, 55, shared the tale. In a single clip, the multi-award-winning actor and producer can be seen explaining to the group how a common exercise machine at the gym broke his big toe.

Prince Andrew should be out of the Royal Family, according to Michael Sheen, and Tom Jones should be in as he begins a new broadside against royal 'wrong 'uns.'

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 6, 2024
During his appearance on BBC One's The Assembly, Mr Sheen made the remarks. He was questioned by a group of 35 autistic, neurodivergent, and learning disabled people. He also went into detail about why he opted to resign his OBE and that he has a problem with Prince and Princess of Wales titles. It was billed as the show where no subjects are out of bounds and no questions are off the table, and no questions were asked, but the Assembly lived up to its word as Mr Sheen was asked a variety of questions openly. Mr Sheen was grilled on one of the monarchy's most vocal critics and, as a Welshman, their place in Wales.

Scoop review: Netflix's Prince Andrew drama divides critics - with some full of praise for 'brilliant' film while others claim it 'misses the point'

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 5, 2024
Some people felt that the film, which was based on one of the most popular scenes in UK media,'missed the real story and lacks the 'investigative spirit and sense of anxiety.' The film intends to capture the tensions behind booking the Duke of York for the program, where Maitlis discussed Virginia Giuffre's allegations that she was coerced to have sex with Andrew three times when she was 17 under Epstein's orders, as well as the prevailing cast during the period.

Prince Andrew's "failure to apologize" and "rue his relationship with Epstein" during a car-crash interview, according to ex-BBC producer Sam McAlister

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 2, 2024
The ex-BBC Newsnight producer who arranged the notorious Prince Andrew interview regretted his inability to apologise for his association with Epstein, which sealed his fate. Sam McAlister has made the remarks in the run-up to the trailer unveiling of Netflix's Scoop, which is based on her book and reveals the driver's account of the car-crash interview. It's widely regarded as the most controversial interview in royal history, causing the royals to announce that Andrew will step back from public service only days after it aired. Ms McAlister told Radio Times: "My belief was that the interview was fair, and it was his silence, not his refusal to apologise, that caused this.' And that this will be his permanent home. I was sitting 15 feet behind him in Buckingham Palace, with Emily in my line of sight, and hearing nearly an hour of some of the most memorable, excruciating, and impactful interview questions and answers in the history of BBC journalism.'

Robert Lewandowski, a veteran forward from Barcelona, and Poland stand in the way of Wales reaching the Euro 2024 finals

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 25, 2024
IAN HERBERT: As has become the tradition on these major occasions, they've been rolling out the Welsh emperors in Cardiff. In Tuesday's play-off final, Rhys Ifans, the actor, has taken over from Michael Sheen, the tournament's drive, giving the Welsh team some energy. However, no gloss can mask the true problem. Though Wales goes on without their own once-in-a-generation genius, Poland is still holding on to their traditions. Robert Lewandowski has scored 82 goals for Poland, a record broken only by Romelu Lukaku, Ferenc Puskas, and Cristiano Ronaldo, and the last tournament is approaching.

According to EPHRAIM HARDCASTLE, King Charles' call for all able-bodied royals to attend the Commonwealth Day service sheds an unwelcome light on the family sickbay

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 7, 2024
EPHRAIM HARDCASTLE: Queen Camilla will lead the extended Royal Family at the Commonwealth Day service on Monday, with the missing King directing all able-bodied royals to attend. This sheds an unwelcome light on the royal sickbay (the King, Kate and Princess Alexandra) as well as others' frailty. The Duke of Kent (89 this year) now needs a stick or wheelchair to get around, and the Duke of Gloucester is 80 in August. On Sunday, Prince Edward, the Windsor clan's one-time baby, turned 60.

From award-winning leading man to directing one of the BBC's biggest flops, Michael Sheen's fame has dwindled after a long line of cringeworthy Welsh nationalist rants

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 6, 2024
Since getting the lowest audience figures ever recorded for a prime-time drama finale, with only 697,000 viewers tuning in for the final episode, his latest series has become the BBC's biggest disappointment. Its demise may have broader implications in Sheen's career, with the 55-year-old alienating many with his vehement tirades directed at everything from Prince of Wales and King Charles to English people who chastised for encouraging the Welsh to support Brexit.

The Way flops on the BBC as the program's final result shows the lowest primetime ratings ever's

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 6, 2024
The Way is a BBC show about a brutal government crackdown in Wales, with people fleeing and being threatened by English fascists. Sheen, a Welsh nationalist, leads the Driscoll family as they attempt to flee the UK. However, only 697,000 viewers watched the final episode, which was trounced in the rankings by the introduction of Celebrity Big Brother on ITV, which attracted a 2.3 million viewers. In addition, The Way opened with just 1.7 million viewers, which is below the average for a prime time slot.

The Way: Michael Sheen is allowed to spout his divisive poison on BBC1. I give it NO STARS, writes CHRISTOPHER STEVENS

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 4, 2024
Nostalgia is the enemy, according to CHRISTOPHER STEVENS. Well, nostalgia and also the English, capitalism, Mrs Thatcher, the police, the English, middle-class swingers, Freemasons, immigration officials and did I mention the English? Michael Sheen's spittle-flecked revolutionary rant The Way (BBC) began with incoherent ferociousness and has never been more dissatisfied. The three hours spent protesting England's draconian treatment of the Welsh brought an end to a tumultuous scene. It would have been unfair to accuse Sheen of missing the plot because he didn't have knowledge of it from the start. The tale followed a warring family, the Driscolls, who were caught up in a protest march in Port Talbot, which became a riot rather than a civil war. Sensing squads of security goons armed with assault rifles are sent, followed by the Army with helicopters. The Driscolls fled on foot, then in the back of a lorry, by barge and camouflescent in coffins, with a bounty on their heads.

KATHRYN FLETT'S My TV Week: A compelling Covid drama (But why would anyone want to watch it now? (Certified, as shown on the example above)

www.dailymail.co.uk, February 23, 2024

Lilliput, the Maltese terrier, the four-legged star who captured Emma Stone's heart at the BAFTAs has been named Lilliput the Maltese terrier

www.dailymail.co.uk, February 19, 2024
The four-legged actor who captured the heart of best actress Emma Stone and millions of others at the BAFTA Film Awards last night will be named as Lilliput the Maltese terrier. Lilli, a canine showbiz veteran, played the part of Michael Sheen's dog and stole the showbiz world by posting a photo of her. In the first five-minute sketch with host David Tennant, where the Scottish actor revealed that she didn't agree to dog-sit for Michael Sheen before he realized it conflicted with his BAFTA appearance.

Emma Stone's awkward camera moment, hilarious David Tennant and Ted Lasso star's 'cringe and woke' stand up: All the brilliant and weird moments from the BAFTAs (including ex-England captain David Beckham referring to football as 'soccer')

www.dailymail.co.uk, February 19, 2024
Oppenheimer received seven awards at The Royal Festival Hall last night, but Poor Things, which earned five gongs, was also a hit night. Tennant made his BAFTA debut this year, while Michael J Fox, who is living with Parkinson's disease, brought viewers to tears when he came out on stage in a wheelchair but kept on speaking at the podium. However, viewers were left'switching off' after Ted Lasso's Nick Mohammed irked spectators with a high voice, and a BBC reporter left Andrew Scott squirming when he asked him about Keoghan's naked scene at the end of Saltburn. Thankfully, Hannah Waddingham, a fellow Ted Lasso actor, wowed audiences with her touching interpretation of 'Time After Time' by Cyndi Lauper. Tennant, a Doctor Who actor, was a hit, with his constant enthusiasm and infectious humour, but the audience was stunned by his performance of Bark Ruffalo, a nifty reference.

Whatever Michael Sheen says, we're pouring millions of pounds in to SAVE steel jobs in the United Kingdom

www.dailymail.co.uk, February 18, 2024
KEMI BADENOCH: China has flooded the global market with subsidised steel for decades, and multinational companies around the world are struggling to make any money from steel. The two nation's two largest steelworks, operated by British Steel in Scunthorpe and Tata in Port Talbot, are losing between £1-1.5 million per day. Some have suggested that the companies be phased out. Doing so would leave the government with a bill running into billions to close and clean up the sites.
