Michael Imperioli (born March 26, 1966) is an American actor, writer, and producer best known for his role on The Sopranos, for which he received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2004.
He appeared in the television drama series Law & Order as NYPD Detective Nick Falco.

Early life
Imperioli was born in Mount Vernon, New York. He is the son of Dan Imperioli, a bus driver and amateur actor, and Claire Imperioli, a department store worker and amateur actor. Imperioli and his family immigrated to Brewster, New York, and in high school, they began to watch Broadway plays. Imperioli intended to attend pre-med at Columbia University but was accepted at Albany's State University. He had already registered at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute to study acting shortly before he was due to start college.
Personal life
Victoria Chlebowski was married by Imperioli in 1996. They have three children and three children, with one in Manhattan and another in Santa Barbara, California. Tae Kwon Do is a favorite of his family and friends. Imperioli became a Buddhist in 2008, as a result of the Encounter Viperi's conversion.
Career
Imperioli has been nominated for two Golden Globe Awards and five Emmy Awards for his role on The Sopranos as Christopher Moltisanti. In 2004, he received his fifth Emmy for the fifth season of The Sopranos.
Imperioli has appeared in many films, including Goodfellas, Jungle Fever, Bad Boys, Malcolm X, Malcolm X, The Basketball Diaries, Clockers, Dead Presidents, Girl 6, The Stu Ungar Story, Summer of Sam, and Summer of Sam, which he also co-wrote and co-produced.
