Gary Anthony Williams (born March 14, 1966) is an American actor, singer, and comedian.

In StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty and StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, he portrayed Uncle Ruckus, Yancy Westridge in the video game Alpha Protocol, and Horace Warfield.

He appeared on the television series Weeds, Boston Juvenile, Blue Collar TV, and as Abe Kenarban in Malcolm in the Middle.

Williams co-founded and is Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Convention and Artistic Director. In Hollywood, California, a comedy short film festival is held.

On the TV Land sitcom The Soul Man, he appeared alongside Cedric the Entertainer.

He has appeared on the improv comedy television series Whose Line Is It Anyway? and is a regular attender of The Black Version, a recurring participant in the live improv comedy film.

Early life and career

Born in Fayetteville, Georgia, Williams worked in theater, comedy, and television in Atlanta, where his roles included acting with the Georgia Shakespeare Festival, performing and writing for Agatha's: A Taste of Mystery, and being a long-serving member of Atlanta's longest running improv troupe, Laughing Matters. Williams appeared on television shows I'll Fly Away and In the Heat of the Night, which were both produced in the Atlanta area. In 1998, he moved to Los Angeles.

Williams' previous appearances include Abe Kenarban (Stevie's dad) in the Fox TV sitcom Malcolm in the Middle and as Judge Trudy's Bailiff on Nickelodeon's The Amanda Show and as Judge Trudy's Bailiff. Williams appeared on the WB Television Network sketch comedy show Blue Collar TV.

Williams appeared in a small part of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: "Invisible Evidence" in 2003, a small sample. Williams appeared on three and four seasons of Boston Legal as Clarence Bell, a pathologically shy man who expresses himself through characters, including crossdressing as women (including a nun and stars like Oprah Winfrey). Clarence/Clarice was originally intended to be a one-shot movie but was later extended to a recurring role and then a regular role.

Williams appeared in five different shows on Cartoon Network's late night programming block, including one as the self-hating African American on Saul of the Molemen and another as the narrator of Stroker and Hoop, and he also appeared on Stroker and Hoop as Paul Revere. In the first three episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, he also appeared as Riff Tamson. Mr. Doso is also the voice of Mr. Doso, the Special Agent Oso. He appeared on a recent episode of Hot in Cleveland as a drama instructor and soccer coach.

For several episodes of Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Williams provided the voice of the supervillain Mongul in 2009. He appeared on one occasion as Mongal's sister. In The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, he also spoke about Thunderball, the supervillain.

Williams is currently working on a new Mike Judge animated film. He appeared on How I Met Your Mother and Two and a Half Men as part of a segment on Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction, and he appeared on the show Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction. In the 7th season of the television show Weeds, Williams appeared as the halfway house director. In 2011, he appeared as Doctor Falgot on the animated series China, Illinois.
