In an attempt to 'avoid war,' Denmark intends to conscript women and lengthen the length of national service.' Yesterday, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said, "we do not rearm because we want war, but we are rearming because we want to prevent it." When she made the announcement, she went on to say that Denmark's government intends 'full equality between the sexes.' Both genders want to increase the number of young people serving in the military service by expanding conscription to women and increasing the time of service from four months to 11 months.
