Melinda Bam (born 13 May 1989) is a South African television personality, currently on television show Pasella & Wies Jou Poppie (season 1-3), an international model and beauty pageant champion who was crowned Miss South Africa 2011 and the country's official representative in Miss Universe 2012.
She founded Bambshell, a swimwear company for which she worked with a South African swimwear brand.

Early life
Melinda Bam (born Melinda de Kock) was born in Pretoria. Deon de Kock, her father, was a minister of the Dutch Reformed Church who died in 1999 after he and Melinda's mother, gospel singer Wanda de Kock, were divorced earlier this year. He had only served one congregation, Glenharvie, which joined Westonaria in 1996, where he was retrenched. Melinda was born in 1989 and has two sisters, Melissa Swart and Sybil Bam. She is a model and obtained a B.Com. Marketing at the University of Pretoria. Miss South Africa 2011 was her first attempt at the pageant and she took the title on her first attempt.
Personal life
Her family name is of German origins. However, Bam is also a Xhosa name, prompting the public to mistake her for a Xhosa child until she was awarded the title. Bam revealed in November 2013 that she is engaged to Mr South Africa 2011, Adriaan Bergh. During a break in Dubai, the two former beauty pageant title holders became involved. They were married in November 2014 at Oakfield Farm, Gauteng, South Africa.
