Melania Trump Life

Melania Trump (born Melanija Knavs; [m?

'la nija?ukna??s], Germanized to Melania Knauss, as the wife of the country's 45th president, Donald Trump, was born in Novo Mesto and grew up in Sevnica, Slovenia's Yugoslav republic.

She worked in Milan and Paris as a fashion model before relocating to New York City in 1996.

Knavs' modeling career began with Irene Marie Models and Trump Model Management. In 2001, she became a permanent resident of the United States.

She married Donald Trump in 2005 and obtained citizenship in the United States in 2006.

She is the second first lady (after Louisa Adams) born outside of the United States, the first one to be a naturalized citizen and the first one whose native language is not English.

Early life, family, and education

Melanija Knavs was born in Novo Mesto, Yugoslavia, now part of present-day Slovenia, on April 26, 1970. Viktor Knavs (born March 24, 1944), a girl's father, was from Rade, and she operated car and motorcycle dealerships for a state-owned vehicle manufacturer. Amalija (née Ulnik) (born July 9, 1945) was a patternmaker at the children's clothing company Jutranjka in Sevnica and worked as a patternmaker. Melanija and other children of workers at the factory attended fashion shows that showcased children's clothing as a child. She has an older sister, Ines, who is an artist and her "longtime confidant," and an older half-brother who she has never met—whom she claims she never knew—from her father's previous marriage.

Knavs grew up in a modest apartment in a housing block in Sevnica, Lower Sava Valley. Her father was a member of the League of Communists of Slovenia, which advocated a state atheism programme. However, as was normal, he had his children secretly baptized as Catholic. Melania carried her rosary and begged the Pope to bless it when the Trumps visited Pope Francis at the Vatican in 2017.

When Knavs was a child, she and her family moved to a two-story house in Sevnica. She grew up in a high-rise apartment in Ljubljana as a high-school student. She attended the Secondary School of Design and Photography in the city and spent a year at the University of Ljubljana studying architecture and interior design.

Personal life

When the president and first lady visited Vatican City in May 2017, she identified as Catholic. She was the first Catholic first lady of the United States after President John F. Kennedy and his wife Jacqueline. When she visited the Vatican, Pope Francis blessed her rosary beads and planted flowers at the feet of a statue of Mary at the Vatican's children's hospital.

In order to fix a benign kidney disease, she underwent embolization, which is a minimally invasive procedure that specifically blocks a blood vessel. The procedure was reported as safe and without complications.

President Trump declared that both he and Melania had tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on October 2, 2020, and that quarantine would be initiated immediately. She said she was having "mild signs" later that day but that "overall feeling good" was the case.

Melania Trump Career

Career

When she posed for Slovenian fashion photographer Stane Jerko, she began modeling at five years old and began doing commercial work at sixteen. She adapted the Slovene version of her last name "Knavs" to the German version "Knauss" when she first began modeling as a model. Knauss, a child in Milan, Italy, has joined a modelling company. She was named runner-up in the Jana Magazine's "Look of the Year" competition in 1992, which promised to its top three contestants an international modeling contract. Knauss modeled for fashion houses in Paris and Milan, where she first met Metropolitan Models co-owner Paolo Zampolli, a friend of her future husband Donald Trump, who was on a scouting trip in Europe in 1995. Zampolli urged her to visit the United States, where he said he would like to represent her. In 1996, Knauss moved to Manhattan. In Zeckendorf Towers in Union Square, he arranged for her to share an apartment with photographer Matthew Atanian.

In a sexually explicit photo shoot for the January 1996 issue of Max, a now defunct French men's magazine, with Emma Eriksson, another female model. She also performed nude for the UK version of GQ magazine in January 2000, noting on the front naked save for diamond necklaces, reclining on fur, aboard Trump's custom-fitted Boeing 727. "Melania was one of the most popular models in 2016," Donald Trump said, and she shot several photo shoots, including for newspapers and major magazines. [The Max photo] was taken for a European magazine before I learned Melania was present in a German newspaper before. Images like this one are extremely popular and common in Europe."

Melania Timepieces and Jewelry, Melania's jewelry line, was launched in 2010 on QVC. Melania Marks Skin Care Collection was also available in high-end department stores. According to a financial report from 2016, her companies earned between US$15,000 and US$50,000 in royalties this year. The two jewelry and skincare companies under license had ended their relationship with her in 2017. In her official White House biography, her businesses and products were listed on the inauguration day, but they were quickly deleted. According to a White House spokesperson, her companies are no longer operational, and "the First Lady has no intention of using her position for profit and will not do so."

In 2021, she started a non-fungible token project.

CAROLINE BULLOCK: Melania Trump's changing face is perhaps the most fascinating thing about a woman who has so little to say

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 20, 2024
Stormy Daniels? She doesn't get a look in. Salacious rumors of a rift with her stepchildren? Not a mention. But then again, Melania Trump doesn't typically have much to say. If you want a real bombshell in her over-hyped new memoir 'Melania', check out the old modelling shots from the late 1980s that she's reprinted - and which seem to suggest the former first lady has enjoyed a big-budget makeover in the intervening years.

Hot mic catches wife chastising host over 'cut' joke about Trump in Al Smith Dinner monologue

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 18, 2024
Comedian Jim Gaffigan walked the line between bawdy humor and outright offense when he supplied the punchlines at a charity dinner featuring former President Donald Trump on Thursday evening. He could not resist joking about the infamous 'grab them by the p***ies' controversy of the 2016 election despite being in front of an audience of New York's top Catholic clergy and former first lady Melania Trump at the Al Smith Dinner. 'You know, during the first and only debate, President Trump talked about migrants taking cats and eating them,' said Gaffigan. 'You know, if you're keeping track at home, this is the second time grabbing a kitty has been part of a campaign issue.'

The appearance at the annual political roast and social gala comes days after the pair looked loved-up at the family compound following the death of Kennedy's mother, Ethel. Hines was wearing a figure-hugging, sparkly gold dress with bateau neckline, long sleeves and one cold shoulder, while Kennedy wore a tux. Kennedy and Hines were in attendance alongside a rare appearance together from both Donald and Melania Trump at the New York City dinner.

Melania Trump Warned Vanessa About the 'Power-Hungry' Trump Men Before she split from Don Jr

perezhilton.com, April 25, 2018
Melania Trump tells it like it is — at least she does it behind closed doors, perhaps in a demure whisper to other women in a similar situation. That's basically how we imagined FLOTUS is sending a warning to Vanessa Trump before her step-mother, Donald Trump Jr.,'s unfaitful husband's divorce. Vanessa turned to Melania for assistance before filing for divorce, according to a source — although the First Lady did not actually ask her out of it. In fact, she did kind of the opposite, the source claimed: "Melania told her, "The Trump guys are one and the same," she says. '”
