Melvin Dimas Rodre (born June 12, 1973) is an American actor best known for his role as Nurse Patsy de la Serda on the Fox comedy Getting On and as Todd Rodriguez on the Fox comedy Getting On and Ernie Gomes on Becoming a God in Central Florida.

Among other notable performances include appearing on AMC's Better Call Saul and co-starring on Fox's short-lived Running Wilde and Enlisted.

Life and career

Rodr grew up in the Little Havana neighborhood in Miami, Florida, and was born there. He began pursuing a career in boxing before being led by his high school teacher to act in a AIDS awareness play titled The Inner Circle with Pedro Zamora. He dropped out of high school and gained a scholarship, which he used to graduate from SUNY Purchase. Rodrz remained in Purchase and ran a cigarette store from time to time in New York City to perform on stage. In 1999, he appeared on screen for the first time in an episode of the legal drama television series Law & Order, which was filming in the state. Rodrez then migrated to Los Angeles, concentrating more on his film career and less on acting on stage. Wirey Spindell, the 1999 comedy, was his first appearance in a full-length feature film. He made his breakthrough by scoring Frank on ABC's comedy series George Lopez in 2002.

Rodrez is best known for his role as Sgt. On the Fox sitcom Enlisted, Nez talks to Community and SPC Chubowski. In the first and third seasons of Better Call Saul, he portrayed Marco Pasternak, Jimmy McGill's greatest friend and partner-in-crime. He appeared in the 2002 film Panic Room for a brief period of time, and was a regular on The Last Man on Earth (2015). In Little Miss Sunshine (2006), he appeared as Officer Martinez.
