I finally have a younger version💗Little Jan turned into teen Jan on last week’s episode of A Friend of the Family. I’m so proud of Hendrix, this wasn’t easy material and she did an amazing job. You can now stream the first 6 episodes on peacocktv now (I come in on the 5th episode)

Season 5 Episode 6. Reposting our lovely director, Eva Vives description and heartbreaking story below. I am lucky to only be acting this story- I know Esther’s pain and suffering is a reality for so many. #Repost supervives ・・・ How great is Episode 506 of handmaidsonhulu??? An embarrassment of riches for this grateful director. So many incredible scenes, moments, shots, lines and actors. I'll try to do at least some of them some justice in the next couple of days. SPOILERS AHEAD. I had ONE scene with mckennagraceful but I remember reading it and being stunned. Screenwriter kthunder5000 wrote it so perfectly. From Lydia's initial victim shaming to Esther's power in being able to tell the truth out loud and call Aunt Lydia's (and by extension Gilead's) hypocrisy. Esther righteousness is undeniable and Lydia recognizes it as such. It's a real turning point for her though she can't bring herself to help Esther in the moment. I remember when we first talked about the scene, McKenna telling me she felt anger and me saying: "Let it rip. Rage for all of us." And boy did she. Being tied to a bed, unable to move and raging is what it feels like. I was a few years younger than Esther when I was raped, so a scene like this hits home. I wanted to do it justice for all the survivors out there. Also, anyone who can hold their own with Ann Dowd is alright with me. Thank you mckennagraceful.
