Johann Baptist Reger (1873 – 1916), also known as Max Reger, was a German composer, pianist, organist, conductor, and academic tutor.
He served as a concert pianist and as a music director at the Leipzig University Church, as well as as a music director for Duke Georg II of Saxe-Meiningen's court. Reger composed mainly Lieder, chamber music, choral music, and piano and organ works.
