Mary Katharine Ham (born April 5, 1980) is an American conservative journalist.

She has been a contributing editor for Townhall Magazine, a senior writer at The Federalist, and a CNN reporter.

Personal life

Ham was married to Jacob Brewer, a White House staffer. The couple married in 2011; two years later, Ham gave birth to their first child, a girl. On September 19, 2015, Brewer died as a result of serious injuries in a bicycle crash. In late 2015, Ham gave birth to their second child, a girl.

Ham remarried on March 7, 2020, to a man "who has no social media presence." Ham has three children as of February, 2022.

Ham contributed to the Richmond County Daily Journal, Townhall.com, where she served as a columnist and managing editor, and The Washington Examiner. In the 2007 Weblog Awards, her video blog series "Sopranos DC," for Townhall.com, HamNation, was named "Best Vlog of the Year" by the Institute for Politics, Democracy & the Internet, and her HamNation film, "Sopranos DC," was named "Video of the Year" for the first time. In June 2008, the series came to an end.

Ham appeared on WMAL (simulcast on 105.9 FM and 630 AM) in Washington, D.C., from Monday to Friday.

Ham identifies her political leanings as "mainly fiscal- and security-conscious conservative."

She was named with the American Conservative Union Blogger of the Year award at the 2014 Conservative Political Action Conference.
