Shaheen Syed, 21, came under fire after his father, 51-year-old Muhammad Atif Syed, was charged with two of the Muslim murders. Albuquerque Police Chief Harold Medina announced on Tuesday that a suspect has been arrested in the serial murder of four Muslim men in Albuquerque over the past nine months. Muhammad Syed, 51, emigrated to the United States in the last few years from Afghanistan, and was apparently furious over his Sunni daughter's marriage of a Shiite man. After being spotted at one of the murder scenes, Medina said the Police Department was able to locate the perpetrator's car and arrest the driver. The perpetrator is thought to be responsible for the deaths of (from top left) Aftab Hussein, Naeem Hussein, Mohammad Zahir Ahmadi, and Muhammad Afzaal Hussain. Both of the victims immigrated to the United States from South Asia, and all of them adhered to the Muslim faith.
