After high school, he worked as a lace engineer in England and then moved to Japan where he spent four years as a technician since 1991 before returning to Japan and graduating at age 30. He returned to England after three years and worked with a Tokyo-based tech firm for ten years before incorporating his company and learning full time in 2010.

His photography podcast has been on display since Sept. 2005. In 2011, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It was surgically removed, and he is now able to live a normal life thanks to the amazing doctors who supported him.
