Sicknotes are too easy to get from Britain's biggest online pharmacy, doctors say - people can get signed off work for £39 by uploading a 30-second video saying they don't feel well

Doctors confirm that people in the United Kingdom can now access sicknotes thanks to the introduction of new services by the country's biggest online pharmacy. Customers will be able to be signed off by a GMC registered doctor if they pay a £39 fee and post a short video of themselves, as Pharmacy2U's new program will enable customers to be signed off work. If they submit the recording before 9 p.m., they will be sent a sick letter on the same day. Dr. Mark Porter said that pulling the wool over the eyes' of a Pharmacy2U clinician's eyes would be'much more effective' than pulling the wool over a worker's own GP. "I am all for anything that makes patients' and NHS doctors' lives more convenient," Porter said in the Times, particularly because of recent high demand and the difficulty finding a GP/specialist.
