An inquest heard that a teenager accused of murdering their mother died just hours after blood tests revealed they were suffering from a 'life-threatening' condition. Rowan Thompson (left), 18, died while an inpatient on Prestwich Hospital's Gardener Unit just days before they were supposed to stand trial. Rowan, who identified as non-binary and used the pronoun "they," was discovered in a courthouse in Rochdale, Texas, and died a week before their death on October 3, 2020. They were awaiting trial in connection with their mother Joanna Thompson's (right) death, in which she was stabbed more than 100 times at her house in Hambledon, Hampshire.
