Maggie Siff (born June 21, 1974) is an American actress.

Rachel Menken Katz of the AMC drama Mad Men, Tara Knowles on the FX drama Sons of Anarchy, for which she was twice finalists for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, and psychiatrist Wendy Rhoades on the Showtime series Billions were among her television appearances.

Teresa Stowe and Leaves of Grass (2010) as Rabbi Renannah Zimmerman, she has appeared in the films Push (2010) as Teresa Stowe and Leaves of Grass (2010).

Indie film A Woman, a Part (2016), as well as playing a minor role in drama film One Perpetuum (2017).

Early life and education

Siff was born in The Bronx, New York City. She is alumna of The Bronx High School of Science and Bryn Mawr College, where she majored in English and graduated in 1996. She earned her M.F.A. At the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, he studied acting. Siff served as a temp at a hedge fund right after graduating, an experience she recalled for her involvement in Billions.

Siff spent time in regional theater before being cast in television. In 1998, she received a Barrymore Award for Excellence in Theater for her role in Henrik Ibsen's Ghosts at Lantern Theater Company.

Siff, a father of Ashkenazi Jewish descent who was also a stage actor, has expressed the feeling of being "culturally Jewish" because of how and where she grew up.

Personal life

Siff revealed in October 2013 that she was expecting her first child with her partner, Paul Ratliff, whom she married in 2012. Lucy, Siff's daughter, was born prematurely.

In 2004, Siff appeared in a television show. During an episode of Rescue Me in Season 2, she appeared as an Alcoholics Anonymous speaker. She has served on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Grey's Anatomy, and Law & Order.

Rachel Menken Katz appeared on Mad Men from 2007 to 2008, earning her and the rest of the cast a nomination for Outstanding Achievement by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. She appeared on Nip/Tuck as a victim during that time before being cast as Dr. Tara Knowles on Sons of Anarchy in 2008.

She has appeared in films including Then She Found Me (2007) as Lily, Push as a psychic surgeon (called a Stitch), Funny People (2010) as Rachel, Leaves of Grass (2010) as Sam Bennet, and Concussion (2013) as Rabbi Renannah Zimmerman. She appears in Billions, the 2016 Showtime series. She appeared in A Woman, A Part (2016), as well as One Perpetual (2017).

Stephen King and Richard Chizmar's Button Box narrated the audio book Gwendy's Button Box in 2017.

She has been working as the television spokesperson for Betterment, an online investment firm, beginning in 2018.
