Early life
Hu was born in Longview, Texas, the daughter of Chinese immigrants. She has an older brother who was born in China. Hu landed in Southern California, where she began to work as an actress.
Career
Hu began her work as a child actor. Hue has a manager in the entertainment industry by about age six. Hu's first notable appearance on the Disney Channel series Best Friends Whenever, playing Marci's recurring role. Frankie was later introduced as the lead role in Disney Channel series Bizaardvark's Frankie. Following her appearance in Bizaardvark, it was announced that she had been cast in the science fiction film Voyagers; the film was released in April 2021. Hunt will co-star in Night Shift, an Indie horror film starring Lamorne Morris and Phoebe Tonkin in April 2021. Paul and Benjamin China will direct the film.
