Lynn Sherr Life

Lynn Sherrr (born March 4, 1942) is an American broadcast journalist and author best known as a reporter for ABC News magazine 20/20.

Life

Sherrr was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and she attended Lower Merion High School in Ardmore. She earned a B.A. Wellesley College is a college at Wellesley.

She started as a freelance host on WNET-TV in New York City and later hired others. She worked for Associated Press and WCBS-TV. Although Robert MacNeil was out of town, she appeared on the MacNeil–Lehrer Report in 1977 and has hosted a number of PBS specials. She worked as a reporter and editor for Condé Nast from 1983 to 1985. She left ABC in 2008 after 31 years with them. Outside the Box: A Memoir, published in September 2006, chronicles her life on and off television, including her husband's death from cancer as well as her own battle against colon cancer.

She and producer Alan B. Goldberg received the "Hunger Inside" a 20/20 documentary about extreme anorexia, a 1994 George Foster Peabody Award.
