David M. Glantz, an American military historian who wrote about the Red Army during World War II and The Journal of Slavic Military Studies in Port Chester, New York, Glantz graduated from the Virginia Military Institute and the University of North Carolina, Centre for Russian and Eastern European Studies, and US Army War College. Glantz spent 30 years in the US Army and served in the Vietnam War.
