Early life and adult film career

Fuentes was born in Colombia and grew up in Madrid, Spain. After launching her own amateur website, she entered the adult film business in 2007. She began shooting in Spain but then migrated to the United States. Federal agents detained a man in Puerto Rico on suspicion of illegal pornography that contained Fuentes in 2009. A pediatrician testified at the trial that Lupe was underage based on her appearance. Fuentes' lawyers requested that she produce her passport, proving that she was 19 years old at the time of filming.

Fuentes began her music career in 2010. Her Latin roots and the house music she heard in the streets and nightclubs of Spain inspired her music. Fuentes became the lead singer of The Ex-Girlfriends, a pop band in 2012. On November 6, 2012, they released two singles: "We Are The Party" and "Whatchya Looking At?" On March 18, 2013, the first edition of the Aristocratic was published.
