'I have had to sell my house because the mortgage rates shot through the roof, and I can't afford to own this house any more,' said James Bowen (left), the best-selling author of A Street Cat Named Bob (pictured below: A.K.A. In the book's film adaptation, Larry Treadaway played James, and Princess Kate, who welcomed Bob at the premiere in 2016). Mr Bowen said that he and his pets will be back on the streets as soon as tomorrow. After leaving the house empty and cleared, I will not get paid till.' I don't even have enough funds for rent for a temporary home until I find a new home, which means that myself, my four cats, and Chewbie [his shih tzu dog] will be homeless on the 9th as we wait for some money, after paying off the mortgage, to become available to us.' Mr Bowen was busking with his guitar in Covent Garden, central London, when he encountered Bob, a stray ginger cat. Tourists and onlookers posted videos of them on YouTube, and they became a thing.
