Longineu W. Parsons III Life

Longineu Warren "LP" Parsons III (born February 16, 1980) is a French-born American rock musician.

He is best known for his role as the former drummer for the American pop punk band Yellowcard.

Early life

Parsons has been playing the drums since he was five years old; he performed with his father, Longineu W. Parsons II, in his band The Longineu Parsons Ensemble.

Music career

After attending Ben Dobson, Todd Clary, Warren Cooke, and Ben Harper at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, Parsons joined Yellowcard in 1997. Before 1997's Midget Tossing and 2013's Ocean Avenue Acoustic, he was with the band ever since Midget Tossing.

Parsons left Yellowcard on March 13, 2014. Parsons had been the only remaining member of the original lineup by this time. "Longineu has chosen to pursue other artistic ambitions," the band said on their Facebook page. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

Parsons and former Yellowcard bandmate Ben Harper formed This Legend in June 2014, with Chris Castillo (lead vocals and rhythm guitar) and Steven Neufeld (bass guitar). On November 11, 2014, they released their first album It's In The Streets. The band appeared on several television shows around the United States to promote the album.

Due to band members' other activities as of 2017, the band is on hiatus. Parsons started playing drums with Ten Foot Pole, Stages, and Stereos.

Vilano, a modern rock band from St. Augustine, Florida, is a modern rock band. The band features vocalist Stephen Drawdy, drummer Longineu Parsons III, guitarist Adam Otoski, and bassist Nick Holtz.

In March of 2021, Vilano released their full-length album, "No Rain, No Flowers."

Parsons accompanied Adam Lambert from October 2009 to September 2010, during the Yellowcard hiatus. Miles M. Davis, a producer, formed LPMD, and Parsons formed rap-rock band LPMD. Off The Record, their debut album, was released on September 27, 2011.

Parsons was the touring drummer for the band New Years Day from 2019 to 2021, performing in their first headlining tour.
